Stanley Tools Made in China.MP4
Stanley Tools Made in China and they have become LESS ‘reliable’ in IMPORTANT control points like the moveable flange that holds the spring tension of the studs ,brads, or staples being used. Factory…or design choice to use use plastic instead of metal. This thing broke on my head from only a 12-14 inch drop off a computer desk at keyboad hieght.

@rhw007 Yes, …
@rhw007 Yes, guaranteed for Life when used correctly, or as inteneded. Thats why you dont use a socket wrench as a hammer. Why should they fix something that was not used as intended? Would be like me running my car w/out oil, then expecting the maker to give me a new engine, because that one broke.

@woohog1 Stanley …
@woohog1 Stanley guarantees tools for LIFE…so NO I’m not expecting something for nothing. The OLD electric stapler I have and made in USA HAS a metal back to the lock…and yes it did fall on the POINT…I test dropped the metal one and it did NOT break…staples still jam often…but the spring holder piece didn’t break.

so basically what …
so basically what your saying is that you dropped the tool, so you want Stanley to give you a new one, or fix it for free. Sounds like you want something for nothing to me.
It also sounds like you are complaing about two different pieces to me. I would bet that if you had dropped it, it would have still broken even with the metal piece. How did it fall? Straight down, or on the point? Still, sounds to me like you expect something for nothing!
