Which one player on either the ducks or the senators worked the hardest during the nhl stanley cup finals?
(ducks won the cup)

Daniel Alfredsson worked the hardest out of both teams.
He worked valiantly and seemed to have never gave up. He worked to the very end, scoring 2 goals in the 6-2 victory for the ducks. Overall, the ducks came out on top, they made less mistakes and didn’t score on themselves (EMERY).
The ducks deserved it, it just wasn’t Ottawa’s year. I just hope Alfredsson wins the cup before his retirement, like Selanne.
Good Job Ducks, Good Luck Next Year Senators.

I don’t think you can honestly choose one player. Most of the players were working hard.

Emery was great until half way through Game 4, for Ottawa. McDonald was best for Anaheim (pretty much won Game 4 for them which was important). Neidermayer won MVP for the whole playoffs not just for the finals BTW.

Alfie? the hissyfit? Only showed up for the last game.

I had to listen to some of the games on the radio, and I thought Francois Beauchemin got his name called an awful lot.

Neidermayer NO questions about it! He helped the Ducks alot in the finals. Not just in the finals but in the whole playoffs! A key player that lead the ducks onto winning the cup!
    Just my 2cents!

MOST of the Ducks worked their butts off. Obviously, Scott Niedermayer won the Conn Smythe because he worked hard. Personally, I think J.S. Giguere worked harder, but oh well.

As for the Senators…all this mention of Daniel Alfredsson, and no honorable mention of Mike Fisher?! Yeah, Alfie was able to produce a few points, even a short-handed goal…but more towards the end of the finals. Mike Fisher played hard every shift from the FIRST game. Back-track through interviews, game previews and reviews and you’ll find Ottawa Coach Brian Murray quotes that give props to Mike Fisher’s efforts.

I’m not taking anything away from Alfie’s efforts later in the finals, especially the last game (game 5)…but it was a little late then. Sometimes the player who scored the most goals wasn’t actually the player who worked the hardest. Mike Fisher was doing all the important little things.
