Does a chain wrench really work for a crankshaft pully?
I need to change the timing belt and usually I use something to hold the pully in the holes to get the nut off, but this subaru outback I have I don’t have anything that will work, and the book says use a chain wrench.
Do I have to use a chain wrench, and does it really work, won’t the pully just slide or will the chain wrench hold it?
yup if you use it correctly. used one two days ago and about twice a month. just make sure it is positioned so it doesnt damage where the belt rides. if it does mar it, clean the pully up with a file before reinstallation.
What size wrench do I need for the bleeder valve on a 95 Honda Accord?
EX, 4 cyl, auto, abs
Thanks for answering in advance. I’m isolated, the car’s isolated, and I can only afford one wrench atm.
Front disc brakes are 10mm, rears are 10mm if you have rear disc brakes. If you have rear drum brakes they will most likely be 8mm. Hope this helps good luck.

What kind of torque wrench do I use to fix intake manifold on 1992 chevrolet corsica with 3.1L V6?
I need to repair my intake manifold on my 1992 chevrolet corsica with a 3.1L V6 engine, but I do not know any of the specs or which kind of torque wrench or wrenches to use. Please help me.
There are different sizes of wrenches. Like 1\2, 3/4, etc. which one do I need?
Tighten in 2 steps:
Step 1: tighten all bolts to 15 Ft/Lbs
Step 2: tighten all bolts to 24 Ft/Lbs
(to torque bolts & nuts, start in center using crisscross pattern)
Any kind of torque wrench.. i use snap-on

How can I remove my spikes without a spike wrench?
I bought some running spikes and the person at the store didn’t give me a spike wrench to remove them with. I’ve already tried removing them with a normal wrench. Can anyone offer any help?
You should go to the store and see if they will give you a wrench cuz those thing come with every single pair of spikes in the country, so they might just give you one free of charge
What do I need to look for when buying a torque wrench?
I need a torque wrench to take of my wheels and stuff, but I don’t know what things to consider when buying one. I was planning on going to Sears and get a Craftsman wrench since they usually make good stuff, but they usually have more than one type of everything so how do I choose which one to get. Also, about how much should a torque wrench cost?
1 you dont really need a tq wrench for wheels,,,maybe for stuff though
2 make sure its craftsman not just sears,,[there is a difference in lifetime warranty] don’t ask lol
3 cost is 15 to 150 dollars,,,like many things you get what you pay for,,,
4 1/2 inch or 3/8 most smaller stuff is ok with a 3/8
5 make sure its in foot pounds,,,inch pounds if for fine/small stuff
6 get the best you can afford it will last a lifetime or until you get robbed [dont ask lol]
get the clicker type the "bar beam" is cheap but isn’t very accurate
look up you head bolt torque requirements,,,thats where you need a torque wrench,,make sure your new wrench capacity is in the range,,
