Which 18v cordless drill is the most reliable makita 8444dwde or dewalt 925?
While I own many of both brands, I have to agree with scarface regarding battery life. Part of an issue I have is that the cost of a new battery is at least half the cost of the entire drill kit, although that makes sense since the drill is no more than a small boat anchor without a working battery.
One thing to keep in mind however, is that both have similar or same components, manufactured in the same country, and branded in Yellow or Turquoise Blue.
As one other states, Obviously both are decent products, and as another states, it largely depends on your use/intent.
Another thing to consider is SERVICE. I have no clue about Makita, and I’m not talking about guarantee, but service locations, which Dewalt has all over the country.
Finally, and certainly with no offense to anyone, the choice of a brand of tool, isn’t much different than ones personal opinions about Vehicle brands, Paint brands, Politics, and/or Religion.

Should you use Makita drill bits with a Makita cordless drill?
In the big box stores I see Dewalt and other brand 70-100 piece drill bit sets for good prices. If I’m using a Makita should I search for Makita bits or would any brand bit work the same?
The main reason I’m curious is because when I was at Home Depot recently, the guy helping me said that the Bosch drills are picky with the fitting of other brand bits. That’s what made me wonder if it applies to Makita too.
Unless you are talking about the big demolition drills then any bit will fit any drill that is big enough to hold it. You gotta watch those guys in the stores, sometimes they know what they are talking about, but a lot of the time they have no clue at all. I’ve been in Lowes and Home Depot a few times and watched them give horrible advice. Once they leave I usually go over and tell the customer the right way to do it.

why wont my makita dpc 6410 start when hot?
it starts ok first thing but after that icant seem to start it
First of all i must say i much prefer the Sthil TS400 to a makita saw any way that said it isn’t helping you, you don’t say how old the saw is but it sounds like the piston rings have worn (Does it have compression when hot (does it have resistance when you pull it over)), i know on the TS400 this isn’t a major job but not having worked on many makita’s I’m not sure what is involved, the makita is really a dolmar saw made in Italy, just another thought, if you have a new spark plug for it you could try changing that first as the plug might be breaking down when hot (start with the easy things first).
which makita driver kit is better?
the blue Model LXT211, or the white Model LCT200W? whats the difference between the 2 impact drivers included?
is it just the blue hammerdrill and difference in colors?
my guess would be blue better, it is the company color
